Server Upgrade Evaluation

Metisentry Engineers will evaluate your server for a possible upgrade. Specifically, current websites will be reviewed to assess compatibility with the latest software versions of Linux, Plesk, PHP, MySQL, etc. This service is typically purchased at the recommendation of Metisentry Support, for customers considering an upgrade to a new Physical or Virtual Dedicated Server. This Evaluation does not include service work to actually perform the upgrade. Upon completion of this Evaluation, a report of all findings will be emailed to the customer. If applicable, this report will include an estimate for any work required to ensure upgrade compatibility.

Metisentry will perform a major version upgrade the Plesk Control Panel on your Dedicated Server. Metisentry will first perform a full system backup or snapshot, and then perform pre- and post-upgrade testing. Customer is also advised to perform full testing after the upgrade has completed.

Dedicated Server - Software Update

(1) This update only includes standard, vendor-released updates and does not include updates for any custom applications which are quoted separately; and (2) Updates for certain software (ex. MySQL and PHP) can in some cases require changes to your website or code in order to function properly on the newest versions, which is not included in this update service. Please let us know in advance if you'd like any software excluded from the update. Metisentry will perform a full software update on your Dedicated Server, bringing your server up to date with the latest software releases (such as bug fixes and security updates) within the current major version of your server operating system. Metisentry will first perform a full system backup or snapshot, and then perform pre- and post-update testing. Customer is also advised to perform full testing after the update is complete. NOTES
